Walter Piel, Jr. has been representing individuals charged with impaired driving offenses in Wisconsin since 1994. He attended the University of Nebraska College of Law and prior to being admitted to practice law in the State of Wisconsin, he was a Law Clerk for the Nebraska Department of Motor Vehicles. He is well versed in the nuances of drunk driving laws in Wisconsin and his practice is dedicated to clients charged with OWI and related offenses. Attorney Piel has represented clients in several hundred jury trials since 1994 and is known throughout the state as an attorney who is willing to fight each case aggressively, and to a jury trial if necessary, to reach a favorable outcome for his client.

In 2009, he open his solo practice after working at Raymond Law Office for nearly 15 years. Attorney Piel has attended the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), Standardized Field Sobriety Testing course, and is a member of the Wisconsin Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers. While his practice is primarily focused on OWI and related traffic offenses, he is well versed in criminal defense work and appellate practice, having provided appellate representation to the Wisconsin Court of Appeals for more than 50 cases.
