Kelli A. Prinz, an associate in the Education Law Practice Group, focuses on matters of all types for school boards and administrators, employment and labor issues, contractual matters, student discipline, public records and privacy, Board policy drafting and compliance, Board property issues and transfers, and alleged incidents of Harassment, Intimidation and Bullying. Kelli handles the defense of claims of violations of the New Jersey Law Against Discrimination as well as injury and negligence claims brought against Boards of Education and assists the Education Law Department Chair in the Department’s federal litigation matters, including defending alleged civil rights and IDEA violations. Kelli presented on both Transgender Student Issues and Roberts Rules of Order at the New Jersey School Board Association’s convention in October 2015.

Practice Highlights

Before joining Cooper Levenson in 2014, Kelli was a solo practitioner at the Law Office of Kelli Prinz in Ocean City, Cape May County, New Jersey. She boldly developed and successfully advised a diverse local clientele in practice areas including matrimonial and family law, contract dispute, business formation, personal injury, real estate, estate planning and litigation. Kelli has appeared before Superior Courts throughout Cape May, Atlantic, Ocean and Burlington Counties. Previously, Kelli served as an associate for Phillip Harrison, Esquire, focusing on consumer fraud matters. She also interned for Charles H. Jurman, Esquire, the former Deputy Assistant Public Defender of Atlantic County.


Kelli graduated Magna Cum Laude and with Program Distinction in Philosophy from the Richard Stockton College of New Jersey (B.A. 2003), and from Rutgers University School of Law, Camden, New Jersey (J.D. 2009). While in law school, Kelli was a Law and Philosophy Society Fellow, and a Hunter Moot Court Board Top Oralist and brief winner and served as the Lead Editor for the Hunter Board during her 3rd year.

Kelli is admitted to practice in New Jersey and the United States District Court of New Jersey.
