Jorge Luis Rivas Jr. was raised in El Paso, Texas. Upon receiving his Bachelors of Business Administration from the University of Texas at Austin, Mr. Rivas Graduated from Baylor Law School.

Jorge has been an attorney since 1998. Before opening his law practice, Jorge was a prosecutor with the El Paso District Attorney’s Office, as well as an attorney for the law firm of Robles, Bracken, Coffman & Hughes. His areas of practice are employment discrimination and criminal law.

Jorge benefits from a prestigious reputation in the El Paso area and is licensed to practice in the State of Texas, the United States District Court for the Western District of Texas, as well as the Supreme Court of the United States. Once a field artillery officer and platoon leader, Mr. Rivas is also an experienced military attorney and JAG Officer who has been serving the Fort Bliss Community for many years. Presently, Mr. Rivas also serves as an Associate Municipal Judge for the City of El Paso.

Jorge and his wife Shelly, also an attorney, reside in El Paso with their two children. He dedicates much of his time to his family and enjoys giving back to his community.
