Prior to law school, Bobby served as the Chief Executive Officer, and co-founder of a National not-for-profit organization that provided after school tutoring to students in under-represented communities across the country. He was able to raise $250,000+ dollars as initial start-up capital and aided the company in expanding from four (4) states to seven (7) states in promotion of its educational tutoring program, and positioned the company to gross $1.2 million dollars after its second year in business. Bobby also worked in local government as the Manager of the Community Redevelopment Agency, where he worked closely with the business community, real estate developers, and other community stakeholders in transforming the city. He also played an instrumental part on the economic development team formed to bolster and revitalize the city’s casino and shopping districts, as well as revitalizing the housing sector in urban neighborhoods through the use of tax increment financing. During law school, Bobby took part in a number of prestigious internship opportunities, such as being a summer law clerk for the Honorable Judge Albert Diaz with the U.S. Fourth Circuit Court of Appeals, an intern with the City of Charlotte, City Attorney’s office, as well as an extern with the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Western District of North Carolina. Additionally, Bobby served as a student-attorney in the Charlotte Law Entrepreneurship Clinic.

Bobby was actively engaged with the Charlotte Law community, as a member of the Charlotte School of Law Moot Court Honor Board, Order of the Crown, Associate Editor of the Intellectual Property and Technology Law Journal, while also serving as the Black Law Student Associations (BLSA) Academic Committee Chair.

After being admitted into the bar, Bobby joined CBRE, Inc., a full service Global Commercial Real Estate company, as a Compliance Manager serving a Fortune 500 financial institution, for the purpose of providing facility management services. In this role, Bobby is responsible for providing contractual guidance as to the parties master agreement, as well as work closely with Supply Chain Management and other functional teams in the management of third-party suppliers (to include General Contractors), OFAC/AML regulations, privacy & information protection, contract compliance/review, operational risk and business control matters, and legal/claims handling. Bobby also contributes to the development and implementation of its Supplier Diversity Program.

Based on the foregoing, Bobby draws upon these and other professional experiences which have armed him with the ability to zealously represent his clients, effectively communicate complex issues clearly and accurately, as well as the ability to demonstrate his passion, creativity and versatility when seeking to develop pragmatic solutions to clients’ problems.
