Before founding Romano Law in 2003, Domenic was an international corporate attorney at a large Manhattan law firm. Prior to that, he served as in-house legal counsel at an established biotech company in Toronto, Canada.

Domenic has appeared often as a legal commentator on television networks such as NBC, CBS, CNN, HLN, FOX Business News and Bloomberg TV. He has been called upon to discuss business, sports and entertainment legal issues. His legal observations have also been quoted in the New York Times, The Independent, Entertainment Weekly, International Business Times and Adweek.

Domenic has spoken on entertainment law and business law matters at the Producers Guild of America (PGA), New York Public Library’s Science, Industry and Business Library (SIBL) and the Institute of Culinary Education (ICE). Domenic has also led Continuing Legal Education seminars for other lawyers.

Domenic is a member of the New York City Bar Association. He serves on its Joint Committee on Legal Referral Service. He is also a member of the Brooklyn Bar Association, the Queens County Bar Association, as well as the Business Law and the Entertainment, Arts and Sports Law Sections of the New York State Bar Association.

He is the founding member and organizer of the Business Lawyers Group and the Entertainment Lawyers Group in New York City, each a diverse network of exceptional and experienced attorneys. Domenic is also the co-founder of the Media, Entertainment & Sports Professionals Group in Manhattan, and the host of the Producers Roundtable and the Business Owners Roundtable in New York.

Domenic is an active member of Entrepreneurs Organization (EO), the world’s largest peer-to-peer network of entrepreneurs (founded in 1987 to empower entrepreneurs to aggressively grow and master their businesses). He serves as Membership Chair for EO Accelerator, and is also on the Membership Committee of EO, in NYC.

He’s a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (TV Academy). Domenic particularly enjoys participating in TV academy events during this “golden age of television”. He’s convinced that The Wire, The Sopranos and Breaking Bad are three of the best series ever made.

Domenic’s parents were both born in Italy. He is tri-national (U.S., Canada and E.U. – Italy) and tri-lingual (English, Italian and French). He has completed 8 marathons (including New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Toronto, Vermont and Rome) and over 30 half-marathons. Domenic’s favorite concert of all time is a private performance by Chicago. He is a history buff who regularly enjoys a good laugh, but takes his pizza seriously. Domenic is an avid sports fan, especially when it comes to professional hockey (Maple Leafs) and baseball (Blue Jays).
