Jeremiah Ross founded Ross Law L.L.C. to assist good Oregonians when they find themselves in bad situations. Jeremiah uses his past skills he learned as a Felony Prosecutor and Deputy County Attorney to successfully advocate for his clients. Prior to returning to Oregon Jeremiah was an accomplished felony prosecutor in Northern California.

Jeremiah successfully litigated numerous jury trials as a Deputy District Attorney in Humboldt County, California. Jeremiah prosecuted a variety of misdemeanor and felony matters. Jeremiah’s case load routinely included: felony Driving Under the Influence Cases (DUII), Marijuana and Narcotics Cases (transportation, sales, possession, and cultivation), Property crimes (Burglary, theft, embezzlement, vandalism), Serious and Violent Felonies (Robbery, Rape, Attempted Murder), and Probation Violations. Jeremiah used his experience, courage, and compassion to obtain numerous favorable jury verdicts and dispositions.

Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII)

As a Deputy District Attorney, Jeremiah was routinely assigned driving under the influence (DUII) cases. Jeremiah has handled numerous felony and misdemeanor DUII cases. Jeremiah has also attended training seminars relating to Field Sobriety Tests and the Preliminary Alcohol Screening Devices. Jeremiah is trained to administer field sobriety tests to the standards established by the National Highway Transportation Safety Administration, and routinely answered Police Officer’s questions relating to the prosecution of Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants cases. Jeremiah uses this unique insight to advocate for his clients facing Driving Under the Influence of Intoxicants (DUII) charges.

Jeremiah gained experience in Civil Litigation while working as a Deputy County Attorney in Del Norte County, California. As a Deputy County Attorney, Jeremiah represented the County in insurance issues, personal injury cases, employment issues, contract disputes. It was during this time he learned to efficiently and effectively become acquainted with an unfamiliar issues and give sound legal advice. Jeremiah routinely relies on this experience in assisting persons with General Litigation issues.

Jeremiah also has experience working at one of the premier indigent criminal defense offices in the Country. Jeremiah Ross clerked at the San Francisco Public Defender’s and worked with a seasoned felony defense attorney to assist clients facing the most serious criminal charges. Additionally, Jeremiah assisted persons facing felony charges while clerking with the San Diego Alternate Public Defender’s Office.

MILITARY EXPERIENCE:

At the age of seventeen Jeremiah joined the Marine Corps as an infantryman. In less than four years Jeremiah obtained the rank of Sergeant. Jeremiah was assigned to the prestigious 8th & I Barracks in Washington D.C., and for 2 years Jeremiah served with distinction at the United States Naval Academy.

Later, Jeremiah was assigned to Second Light Armored Reconnaissance Battalion (2nd LAR) in Camp Lejeune, N.C. At 2nd LAR he served as a scout squad leader. Jeremiah left the Marine Corps after four years and enlisted in the Oregon Army National Guard.

While attending the University of Oregon Jeremiah served as an Infantry Sergeant in the Oregon Army National Guard and received an Army Achievement for his efforts.

Jeremiah has also worked at the Eugene Oregon Veterans Center. During this time he assisted veterans with Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Traumatic Brain Injuries (TBI). It was here that he learned the difficulties that many combat veterans face when re-integrating into society. That is why he has dedicated a portion of his law practice, Ross Law L.L.C., to assisting veterans.

LIFE EXPERIENCE:

The one thing that sets Jeremiah apart from many attorneys is his life experience. Jeremiah has worked at all levels of government and is just as comfortable in the courtroom as he is in the woods. While attending the University of Oregon Jeremiah fought wildfires for the Oregon Department of Forestry. Additionally, Jeremiah was a deck hand on tour boats in the Seattle. Jeremiah has also worked at a roofing company, a large retail store, and in the food service industry.

Jeremiah also has experience in the highest levels of government. Jeremiah was awarded a paid internship to work at the Pentagon in Alexandria, Virginia. During this time he worked for the Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisitions, Technology, & Logistics. Jeremiah worked with Department of Defense officials on Congressional Budget and Appropriations issues. Jeremiah also participated in the Senate confirmation process of the Deputy Undersecretary of Defense for Acquisitions, Technology, & Logistics.

After leaving the Marine Corps Jeremiah Ross interned at the Oregon State Capital for a State Representative. During this time Jeremiah successfully lobbied to make it easier for veterans to obtain in state tuition for Oregon Universities.
