Mr. Sanfield received his bachelor of arts with honor in 1985 from Michigan State University. He received his juris doctor from the University of Detroit School of Law in 1989.

Mr. Sanfield began his legal career at the largest medical malpractice defense firm in Michigan. There, Mr. Sanfield developed expertise in the field of medical malpractice law defending hospitals and healthcare providers over the course of eleven years. In addition to earning a reputation as a skilled litigator, Mr. Sanfield also became a sought out speaker who donated his time presenting and discussing medical legal issues to a variety of audiences.

In April 2001, Mr. Sanfield made a signficant career change and turned his attention to the representing victims of medical malpractice. From 2001 to 2012 Mr. Sanfield devoted one hundred percent of his practice exclusively toward representing the negligently injured. In doing so, Mr. Sanfield has achieved recognition as an experienced litigator and trial attorney. He has tried dozens of medical malpractice cases to verdict throughout the state of Michigan. In January 2013 Mr. Sanfield joined Mckeen & Associates, P.C. where he continues to actively litigate and try cases on behalf of negligently injured.

Most recently, Mr. Sanfield has been a frequent guest speaker on several talk radio programs in the Detroit area, including the john kinloch show where he spoke on medical malpractice and nursing home malpractice matters as well as the dangers of proposed legislative tort reform.
