Lawrence Scharpf is an associate at the Law Office of George H. Romania, having joined out firm in July, 2017. He was admitted to the Connecticut Bar in November, 2009.

Prior to joining our office, Lawrence supervised Clerk’s Offices at the Waterbury Superior Court and the Middletown Superior Court. There, he oversaw the daily administration of nearly every case that passed through the docket of each court, and he learned a great deal about how cases are managed at each court house. Lawrence worked directly with many of the trial judges in each jurisdiction and he oversaw countless trials. His experience supervising the Clerk’s Office and his familiarity with our court system has resulted in his ability to efficiently and confidently guide our clients through each stage of the court proceedings.

Lawrence received his Juris Doctorate degree from Notre Dame Law School, graduating in May, 2009. While in law school, Lawrence served as an Executive Articles Editor of the Journal of College and University Law, the only law review in the United States dedicated exclusively to the law of higher education. Lawrence also interned in the Meriden Superior Court for the State’s Attorney’s Office, gaining valuable courtroom, negotiation, research and writing experience from working alongside the Assistant State’s Attorneys.

Lawrence graduated from Worcester Polytechnic Institute with a Bachelor of Science degree in Technical Writing. During Law school, Lawrence worked as a summer associated for Morgan & Finnegan, LLC in New York City. There, he gained valuable experience as a federal civil litigator representing some of the largest companies in the world before deciding to pursue a career helping individual clients.

When not working on behalf of our clients, Lawrence enjoys cooking, live music, and spending time with his wife and daughter. Lawrence’s education, experience, hard work and desire to obtain the best possible outcome and result for our clients makes him a valuable addition to our team at the Law Offices of George H. Romania.
