Description Rupak Shah is the head of Escobar & Associate’s Appellate and Post-Conviction Relief Unit. He earned his law degree from Temple University’s Beasley School of Law in 2007 and his bachelor’s degree from New York University in 2001. Rupak is authorized to practice in all of the appellate, county and circuit courts within the State of Florida, the United States Middle District of Florida, the Court of Appeals for the Eleventh Circuit, and the Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. Rupak is an aggressive, creative, and passionate advocate. Rupak firmly believes that finding a solution to a legal challenge warrants diligent preparation, thorough investigation of the facts and circumstances underlying a case, close collaboration with his client, and extensive legal research.Rupak frequently works with Rick Escobar, Dino Michaels, and DeeAnn Athan in their state and federal trial-court cases. He has, for example, successfully worked with his colleagues to identify evidentiary and appellate issues before and during trial, convince courts to suppress illegally obtained evidence, and to develop the factual and legal grounds for a reduced or mitigated sentence. Prior to joining Escobar & Associates Rupak worked as a legal aid attorney for over 6 years. As a legal aid attorney he had the life-altering privilege of representing indigent parents in dependency and custody proceedings both at trial and on appeal. Before entering law school Rupak also worked in the technology industry. Rupak’s first job was delivering newspapers door-to-door in snow-laden Syracuse, New York at the ripe age of 11.
