DAVID F. SHERWOOD is a partner of the law firm of Moriarty, Paetzold & Sherwood, in Glastonbury, Connecticut, where he concentrates on real property law, environmental law and land use planning. He is a graduate of the University of Pennsylvania (B.A., 1977); Yale University (M.Phil., 1981; Ph.D., 1983); and the University of Connecticut (J.D., 1987). He is the author of several books, including the Connecticut Environmental Protection Act, published by Thomson-West. He is also is a contributor to the CCH Guidebook to Connecticut Taxes and Bender’s State Taxation: Principles and Practice, and has written articles on land use and property tax. He regularly appears before state and municipal boards and commissions and trial and appellate courts on behalf of landowners and developers, and is a member of the Connecticut Bar Association and a Fellow of Sigma Xi, the Society for Scientific Research. He has been recognized by The Best Lawyers in America for his work in Land Use and Zoning Law and Real Estate Litigation (2016-2018) and was named the Real Estate Litigation “Lawyer of the Year” in 2017. |
