Prior to joining the firm in 2017, she was an in-house law clerk at the Association of Corporate Counsel assisting the Office of General Counsel on various legal and compliance matters facing the Association. In addition, she interned at the Asian Pacific American Legal Resource Center in Washington, D.C. While at the George Washington University Law School, she was a student attorney in the Health Rights Law Clinic advocating for clients who need medical care and negotiating insurance payment plans. In addition, she participated in the GW Law Cancer Pro Bono Project and the Mid-Atlantic Innocence Project and served as a member of the Alternative Dispute Resolution Honors Board.

Ms. Shin earned her Juris Doctor from the George Washington University Law School, where she received the Presidential Pro Bono Recognition Award for completing over 450 hours of pro bono work during law school. She earned her B.S., magna cum laude, in Criminal Law and Justice from Northeastern University. Originally from South Korea, she is fluent in Korean.
