Hannah Sims is a Certified Family Law Specialist, and has been practicing family law since her entry to the bar in 1994. Hannah augmented her legal education in 2000 by obtaining a Masters of Law (LL.M.) in Taxation. Hannah treats each case individually and recognizes that divorcing parties have particular needs that may not lend themselves to a generalized approach. In every case, Hannah’s first objective is to find a creative way to settle the parties’ differences in lieu of litigation. If court intervention is required, Hannah’s reputation as an aggressive and highly competent litigator precedes her.

Hannah has been through her own divorce and dealt with the hardship of raising two very young children as a single mother. This insight has contributed to her keen understanding of the issues that parties face as they move through the dissolution process and beyond.

Hannah’s practice encompasses all aspects of family law. Her LL.M. in Taxation allows her to identify and address complex tax issues that many family law attorneys may miss. While skilled in high asset property division, support, reimbursement issues and business valuations, Hannah enjoys and excels in high conflict custodial disputes. As the former director of a non-profit domestic violence legal clinic, Hannah also brings her talents and specialized training to the domestic violence arena.
