Judge Edward Sosnick (Ret), who is Of Counsel to Hertz Schram PC, focuses his practice on Alternative Dispute Resolution, including formal and informal arbitration, mediation, and facilitation. Judge Sosnick was an Oakland County Circuit Court Judge for 24 years, during which he served in both the Civil and Family Divisions, and served two terms as Chief Judge. During those 24 years Judge Sosnick presided over numerous civil and divorce trials, participated in many hundreds of settlement conferences, and obtained extensive training in all types of mediation practices. Prior to his election to the Circuit Court bench in 1989, Judge Sosnick served as a 48th District Court Judge, a Senior Trial Attorney in the Oakland County Prosecutor’s Office, a private practitioner, and a city, township, and village attorney.
