Jim opened his first law office in Fort Wayne in 1968. His focus for these many years has always been on serving his clients in the myriad of legal issues that confront them throughout their lives, giving them top quality legal assistance. As with anyone who gives good service, he has maintained his client base from its beginnings, and as a result his practice has evolved with the needs of his clients.

Jim’s interest in Elder Law was initiated by his personal search for appropriate housing and care for his own Mother after her stroke, and it naturally progressed into an interest in Alzheimer’s care when Alzheimer’s became an issue in his longtime paralegal’s family, as well as his own Godfather. Following his own healthcare crisis, it became obvious to him that trial work and divorce proceedings were not conducive to his own good health. As his clientele aged along with him, his interest and education naturally progressed into estate and Medicaid planning as well as other elements of Elder Law.
