Daniel M. Steinberg is the managing shareholder of Trainor Fairbrook and the chair of the firm’s Construction Department. Mr. Steinberg’s practice focuses on construction and real property matters, including negotiation and preparation of construction documents and litigation of contract disputes, construction defect issues, mechanic’s liens, lease disputes, rent actions and ADA defense matters.

Mr. Steinberg acts as an advisor to developers, land owners, contractors, subcontractors and design professionals who seek his guidance on construction projects and the resolution of claims that may arise before, during or after their project. His extensive construction background, and previous work in the construction industry, has contributed to his successful representation of Sacramento’s most prominent developers. Mr. Steinberg is lead construction counsel for the country’s leading food concession expert who operates over 200 outlets in 29 airports throughout the United States and Canada. After five years of litigation and three months of trial, he was successful in recovering 20 million dollars from a national construction company and architectural firm for the defective construction and design of his client’s casino and hotel project.

Mr. Steinberg has given numerous presentations on changes in the construction industry, mechanic’s lien law and owner protective measures to various industry associations, including the American Institute of Architects, the Sacramento Association of Realtors and Lorman Education Services. Mr. Steinberg is an "AV® PreeminentTM" rated attorney by Martindale Hubbell, has served as a Pro Tem Judge for the El Dorado County Superior Court and has taught at Sacramento City Junior College as an Adjunct Professor in Finance and Economics.
