She began her practice with Orrick, Herrington and Sutcliffe, one of the world’s preeminent law firms. There, for 13 years, she managed all phases of complex, commercial litigation, including developing case strategies, interviewing witnesses, researching and writing briefs, initiating and responding to discovery, preparing witnesses for deposition and trial, and representing clients in court proceedings, settlement negotiations, and mediation. Representative cases in state and federal courts include unfair competition, computer hacking, copyright infringement, trade secret misappropriation, trademark infringement, unlawful detainer, unfair housing practices, negligence, fraud, securities violations, and breach of contract matters. Having also worked as in-house counsel in Silicon Valley negotiating commercial transactions and providing counsel to internal business partners, Theresa has experience on both sides of the attorney-client relationship.
