I am the managing member of the Thatcher Law Firm, LLC in Greenbelt, Maryland. My practice includes all aspects of employment law, including corporate counseling, EEO training and litigation on behalf of employers and employees. I have successfully represented women golfers in their sex discrimination complaints against country clubs and has appeared on NBC and Working Women television. I am also a certified mediator in civil matters. I have served as co-counsel with the Washington Lawyers Committee for Civil Rights and Urban Affairs in employment discrimination cases. I am a faculty member of NITA Trial Advocacy Skills Program at Georgetown University Law Center and am frequent panel member and speaker for numerous CLE programs. I am a permanent member of the Fourth Circuit Judicial Conference. I am a past President of the Board of Governors of the Federal Bar Association of Maryland and am active in the Women’s Bar Associations of both Maryland and the District of Columbia. As a graduate of St. Mary’s University Law School, San Antonio, Texas, I served as an associate editor of the Law Review. In 2007, 2009, 2011, 2013, 2015, and 2017, I was named as one of "Washington’s TOP Employment Lawyers" by the Washingtonian magazine. The Washingtonian rankings only come out in odd numbered years.
