Regional and national lenders choose Ms. Thompson when they need to obtain possession of leased equipment or pledged collateral, negotiate forbearance agreements, defend lending practices, defend preference and avoidance actions, or obtain relief from the bankruptcy stay and collect funds. Title insurers utilize Ms. Thompson to defend the validity and priority of their lending policyholders’ liens.

Ms. Thompson has successfully defended both bad faith allegations and coverage denials before Kentucky’s appellate courts and the Sixth Circuit Court of Appeals. In 2012, she served as Special Justice on the Kentucky Supreme Court.
