A native of Valdosta, Mr. Turner knows the people in this region, and is dedicated to handling their long-term legal needs. In recognition of his work, he has been rated AV Preeminent by Martindale-Hubbell, indicating that other attorneys rank him at the highest level of professional excellence. He was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1979, and is an active member of Georgia Defense Lawyers Association and the Valdosta Bar Association, of which he served as President from 1999-2000. Mr. Turner is also a member of the American Bar Association.

Mr. Turner is a graduate of Valdosta State College, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts. He earned his Juris Doctor from Mercer University, and is a member of the national honor societies Omicron Delta Kappa and Phi Kappa Phi.
