Aaron D. Weiner has been helping clients resolve business and personal disputes for more than 20 years. He has represented clients in matters large and small, prosecuting and defending multi-million dollar lawsuits. Mr. Weiner is experienced in business and contract disputes, including: leases, franchise agreements, non-competition agreements, service agreements, supply agreements, licensing, shareholder agreements, security agreements, loan workouts, asset purchases, construction agreements, and commercial real estate purchases. In addition, he handles a broad range of tort and other statutory claims, including: real estate agent professional negligence, motor vehicle negligence, slip and fall personal injury, medical malpractice defense, workers’ compensation, construction liens, security suitability, trade mark infringement, libel claims and estate disputes.

Mr. Weiner’s extensive litigation experience has aided him in settling most commercial disputes before trial. He helps clients identify choices, motivations, interests and determines what is best for everyone involved. Most clients preferred a voluntary agreement over the time consuming, expensive, and uncertain litigation process. In 2013, Mr. Weiner attended over 50 hours of mediator training, including an intensive course at the American Arbitration Association to become a mediator.

Mr. Weiner is a member of the Nebraska Mediation Association, and is an affiliate of the Douglas and Sarpy County public mediation center, the Concord Center. Mr. Weiner’s firm is also a member of Meritas, an international affiliation of mid-sized law firms, where mediators’ from all over the world share resources and experience to improve their mediation skills.

Mr. Weiner graduated, magna cum laude, from the University of Minnesota Law School in 1989. He clerked for the Nebraska Supreme Court, Honorable John T. Grant, before joining the firm in 1990. He became a full Partner in 1996. Mr. Weiner has taught Legal Research and Writing at the Creighton University School of Law, and was one of the original members of the Robert M. Spire Inns of Court (an organization of judges, lawyers, and law students devoted to improving litigation practice and civility). He lectures on residential and commercial landlord/tenant law, and is currently serving on several non-profit boards, including the Executive Counsel of the Omaha Bar Association.
