Daniel Westhoff is a general practitioner with a special interest in family law, adoption, bankruptcy, and probate. He graduated from Washburn Law School in 2007 and was admitted to practice in Colorado later that year. From 2007 to January 2015, Daniel practiced as an associate attorney at The Pearman Law Firm in the Denver metro area. While working with Mr. Pearman, Daniel focused primarily on family law, adoption, probate and bankruptcy (Chapters 7 & 13), but also gained extensive experience with Evictions, County Court Civil Litigation, and Estate Planning. In 2010, Daniel argued a key case involving stepparent adoption before the Colorado Supreme Court. The Court heard arguments on two issues, the first having to do with the definition of abandonment in the area of adoption, and the second having to do with concurrent jurisdiction of the Juvenile Court and the Domestic Court. In 2011, the Colorado Supreme Court ruled in his favor, creating new case law. In 2013 Daniel was commissioned a JAG Officer in the United States Air Force Reserves. He now serves as an IMA attached to the base legal office at Peterson AFB. |
