Kim is a native of Norris, Tennessee just outside of Knoxville, where she attended the University of Tennessee earning a Bachelor of Science degree in 1990. Upon graduation, Kim attended John Marshall Law School earning her Doctor of Jurisprudence degree and became a member of the State Bar of Georgia in 1995. During law school she accepted an internship position with an Atlanta area personal injury law firm, later accepting an attorney position with the same firm which began her long career in personal injury law.

Since then she has practiced personal injury law for over 20 years, successfully settling hundreds of cases from all over the state of Georgia. She has served on the Board and been active with many legal organizations including the North Fulton Bar Association, Atlanta Bar Association and the Forsyth County Bar Association.

A strong believer in community and community service, Kim has worked with a number of community service organizations including Safehouse Outreach in Atlanta, served in clean-up operations post Hurricane Katrina, presented End Distracted Driving Programs, and started and ran the Chattahoochee River Club Swim team where a scholarship is named in her honor.

She enjoys running and boating in her spare time and is married to Gerard Wichalonis, owner and CEO of Wichalonis Insurance in Cumming, GA. They reside in Cumming with their three children.
