Ms. Wielgus joined Klein, Stoddard, Buck & Lewis, LLC, in August 2014 as a law clerk and became an Associate Attorney when she was admitted to the bar in November 2014. Amanda focuses her practice on family law including pre-decree, post-decree, and child-related issues. She also focuses on small claims and collections, misdemeanor traffic and DUI, landlord/tenant issues, estate planning and civil litigation.

Prior to joining Klein, Stoddard, Buck & Lewis, LLC, Amanda interned with the Kane County State’s Attorney’s Office. She spent her time with the Child Advocacy Center performing legal research for issues related to child sexual abuse. Amanda later interned with Bennett Law Firm, LLC, drafting pleadings, motions, and legal memoranda for family law related issues. Amanda also interned with the DeKalb County Public Defender’s Office assisting with the Domestic Violence attorneys gaining valuable court room experience.

While attending law school at Northern Illinois University, Amanda was a teaching assistant with NIU’s Non-governmental Organization and Leadership Development Center (NGOLD). During this time, she was able to learn about the DeKalb-Sycamore area and was able to meet local community leaders. As a result of NGOLD, Amanda is a member of the Kishwaukee Sunrise Rotary and is an Ellwood House Association board member. She is also a member of the 2015 Sycamore Chamber of Commerce Leadership Academy.

In Amanda’s free time, she can often be found at the Kishwaukee YMCA at 5:45 am for an early morning group fitness class. Amanda spends many weekends in her first hometown, St. Anne, Illinois, with her family. She enjoys attending country music concerts, going to local festivals, and traveling around the United States seeking out adventures.
