Eric Zale is an experienced attorney who specializes in defending those who are accused of a crime. From 2005 to 2015 Eric proudly served as a deputy state public defender in both Denver and Boulder County. In that time he represented hundreds of clients accused of all matters of criminal conduct from simple traffic cases to homicides, sexual assaults and complex white collar cases.Eric entered private practice in 2015 and in 2020 started his own law firm with his partner Brian Emeson. Eric has taken approximately a hundred cases to jury trial including multiple homicide, sexual assault and drug distribution trials. Eric believes that the best outcome is derived from hard work and being focused on the desired result of each client. Eric was born and raised on the north side of Chicago and has made Boulder his home off and on since 2000. He is a graduate of Hampshire College, Vermont law School and the National Criminal defense college in Macon Georgia. In 2011 Eric was the attorney of the year for both the Denver regional trial office of the Public defender and the attorney of the year for the entire state of Colorado public defender system. In his spare time Eric enjoys spending time in the mountains with his young son and wife.
